How much is McGill university medical school tuition?

Tuition in the MD, CM program is evaluated and charged on a per-credit basis for an approximate total of 200-204 credits.

Students are responsible for tuition for the total number of credits in the program, regardless of any exemptions granted.

The program is structured on a three-semester system (i.e., fall, winter, and summer) for Years 1 through 3, and on a two-semester system for Year 4. Fees will be billed by semester and students may view their accounts on Minerva.

How much is the McGill university tuition for a Canadian citizen?

The tuition fees vary according to the residence and citizenship status of the student.

The Quebec Government expects all students who are citizens or permanent residents of Canada to provide evidence of their status in order not to be billed the international rate.

In addition, students who wish to qualify for the Québec rate must also provide evidence of Québec residency along with evidence of Canadian citizenship.

Documentation accepted after this time will affect fee rates for succeeding terms only. If evidence of status is submitted after a student has been billed, but before the document submission deadline, the tuition supplement will be ignored.

Furthermore, students who are not automatically given a fee deferral based on the University’s evaluation of their personal information at admission, who expect their fee residency status to change – and who will be providing that documentation – within the term must contact either Service Point at [email protected] or Student Accounts at [email protected] to discuss what documentation is still outstanding to support their situation.

Finally, these offices will decide if a fee deferral is warranted. No previous interest charges or late payment fines will be reversed, therefore students should ensure their request is submitted earlier to the first fee payment for the term is due.

For students from the rest of Canada, the fee charged is a combination of the Quebec rate and the out-of-province supplement which is not known at this time (1).

1) In Fall 2019, the supplement for Canadian students from outside Quebec was $179.87 per credit. However, this rate is provided for information purposes only and may increase, decrease or remain the same in 2020-2021.
