IMMIGRATION AND SEYCHELLES RESIDENCE PERMIT

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM SEYCHELLES IMMIGRATION WEBSITE

  1. SEYCHELLES PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS

Valid passports or alternative travel documents are needed for entry into Seychelles as part of Seychelles Immigration Policy.

  1. VISA REQUIREMENT

Visa is not required for entry into Seychelles together with Seychelles passport.

  1. VISITORS PERMIT

As part, if Seychelles Immigration Policy a visitor’s permit card is issued on arrival in Seychelles to someone who comes for the aim of vacation, pleasure, business, visit friends or family and who –

(a) is not a prohibited immigrant; and

(b) isn’t the holder of a Dependant’s permit card or a paying Occupation Permit and has a Seychelles passport ;

(c) holds a legitimate comeback or onward ticket for the period of visit;

(d) has confirmed accommodation;

(e) has comfortable funds for the period of them being around.

(Minimum of US$ 150.00 or equivalent per day).

The Visitor’s permit ID card is at the start valid for the time of the visit of up to 1 month.

It is extended for a period of up 3|to 3|to a few} months from the date of issue and capable of additional extensions for consecutive periods not surpassing three months at a time to a maximum time of twelve months, provided that the person still meets the criteria of a bona fide visitor in the Seychelles Immigration Policy .

  1. GAINFUL OCCUPATION PERMIT

(c) has created or can create a special contribution to the economic, social or cultural life of Seychelles.

The holder of a Residence Permit

(a) should throughout the validity of the permit ID card reside in Seychelles for a minimum of 5 days throughout every twelve months of the term of the permit;

(b) If the permit card holder residing in Seychelles for over one month (in any year) he/she shall keep a deposit with a bank in Seychelles or give a bank

guarantee to the Director General of Immigration, of not less than Sr. 20,000 and allow the Director General of Immigration to draw on the deposit or call on the guarantee for the purpose of meeting expenditure incurred by the government in connection with the care, treatment or maintenance inside or removal from Seychelles of the permit ID card holder and his/her dependents;

(c) if the permit ID card holder residing in Seychelles for over one month (in any year) he/she shall after fourteen days of every anniversary of the problem of the permit ID card,

adduce proof to the satisfaction of the Director General of Immigration that the permit ID card holder has brought into Seychelles for his own use, foreign exchange through the Central Bank of Seychelles of an amount similar to not Smaller than Sr. 100,000;

(d) Paragraph (b) and (c) shall not apply wherever the Director General of Immigration is happy that the permit ID card holder or another one who forms a similar family because the permit holder, has sufficient investment in Seychelles to cover the amount in subparagraph (c) or subparagraph (d) and (c) as the case may be;

(e) throughout the term of the Residence permit ID card, the holder must explore opportunities for contributing to the economic, social or cultural life of Seychelles;

(f) The holder of the permit ID card shall not be entitled to free medical service in Seychelles or to any social insurance benefit below the social insurance Act, 1987 other similar Legislation; The holder of a Seychelles Residence permit ID card isn’t permissible to be gainfully occupied in Seychelles

Residence permit ID Card shall stop to be valid if the holder:

(a) is a contrast to terms of the permit;

(b) is convicted of an offense against the Immigration laws; or
(c) is deported from Seychelles.
The holder’s minor dependants can be endorsed on the Permit.
There is a fee of US$115/- for processing of the application.
The fee for the residence Permit is Scr. 50,000.00 for the main applicant and Scr.

25,000.00 for the relative if applied at an equivalent time.

The fee for endorsement of every minor depending on a Residence permit ID Card is Scr. 1,000.00.

The permit fees are payable in foreign exchange.
